Marjorie Scardino Is
Britain's Most Powerful Woman
The magazine Management
Today has just published their list of the 50 most powerful women in
Britain. First place goes to Marjorie Scardino, the chief
executive of the Pearson Group. Cherie Booth (wife of the Prime
Minister) came second. Today Ms Scardino demonstrated her power by
announcing Pearson's takeover offer for Dorling Kindersley (see lead
